Fights are battles against enemies during Gameplay.

Fighting may be triggered through a cutscene or dialogue option, or in the overworld by a hostile entity making contact with the player. Selecting the dialogue exit button labeled "(fight)" begins the battle.

Turn System

Fights are turn-based, and are carried out in the order as follows:

  1. Player party members (all, one-by-one, left to right)
  2. Enemies (all, one-by-one, left to right)

Each turn consists of the selection of one action or item, unless they have Stun or are Down. Actions and items are used immediately upon selection, before moving on to the next combat actor. Impulses do not consume turns.

Action

Some actions require conditions to be met before use (e.g., Enact, which requires at least 1T Evasion). Some are unable to be used while under certain effects (e.g., Fear prohibits the use of utility actions).

If an action is to be performed more than once (e.g., due to Surge) it will occur after selection, but still within that actor's same turn.
