    • Vazni Spire - A spire formed near the Vazni region of Obeski, with gigantic "spirestorms" that are generated around it.

Culture

Castes

  • Castes - Groups which obesk are mainly born into. The castes known so far are Kiv, Jut, Tir, and Vel (with the exception of Qou).
  • Kiv - A caste known to act as defenders and warriors. They typically have long, segmented receptors, somewhat similar to Jut receptors.
  • Jut - A caste known to act as engineers. They are said to "teach" corru in some way, and typically have short, pointed receptors.
  • Tir - A caste that is known for digging and taking care of others. They typically have branched receptors, and produce acid, used to aid in digging.
  • Vel - Little is known about Vel, compared to other castes. They are implied to enjoy playing tricks (or may even have to in order to live), and typically have curled receptors.
  • Qou - A caste of obesk who have ascended into Mindcores and inhabited corru bodies. They are typically referred to as once-[caste], with "Qou" replacing their previous caste in their names.

Religion

  • Fairy - Meteors which circle Velzie (the planet), believed to be emissaries, or heralds, of Velzie's will; commonly associated with fairy eyes.
  • Structurist - Old-fashioned worshippers of Velzie. Prays with palms facing upwards and at face level.
  • Velzie - "God" in obesk religion, a concept shared by both Ekivik and Vaznian cultures alike. Velzie is characterized by the obesk as very chaotic, causing misfortunes for its own amusement. The obesk frequently view themselves as "actors" who perform for it, also describing the world as a "stage".

Art Styles

  • Vaznian Surrealism - Swirling and fantastical.
  • Ekivik Geometric - Angular and minimalist.

  • Jekzi - A robe-like Vaznian traditional garment.

  • Surface Runner - Obesk who venture out onto the surface of Obeski in order to make contact with other cave-cities or to gather food on Obeski's dangerous surface.

  • Veilksplitter - The name of a Dull-enabled cutting beam used by golems for miscellaneous purposes, causes immense physical trauma when used as a weapon.

Corru-Related

  • Aima Cyst - A type of cyst that help increase the situational awareness of the wearer by streaming an additional sensory feed to them by connecting to the obesk, sort of acting as an additional eye.
  • Blue--- - Full name unknown, it is a sludgy, bioluminescent byproduct of sfer vats, used in cavelights to replace yuzku.
  • Corruskivi - A corru repair tool, used in a manner somewhat similar to welding, which can easily pass through corru, used by Tozik.
  • Disabler - An industrial tool used to safely disable corrucystic entities at a range by firing out spines, which consumes a charge of the disabler.
  • Mindcore - A type of corrucyst that uploads its user's mind into itself, allowing for obesk to die and ascend into Qou bodies.
  • Restorative Cyst - A type of cyst that contains a sort of balm that, when applied to a corrucystic entity, patches up its shell and restores functionality to its systems.
  • Satik Cyst - A type of cyst that contains small applicators which apply a sort of temporary "shell" around its wearer when deployed.
  • Sfer/Sfer Cube - Obesk fuel and currency. Theorized to be a fungus grown from metal.
  • Zzepel - A back-mounted utility used by surface runners, used to create small, semi-spherical corrucystic shells around the wearer. Similar to a camping tent; popular for veilk-camping.

Weapons

  • Bright Weaponry - Any weapon made by humans and characterized as using "dead metal" as ammunition.

Ecology

Predators

  • Deceiving Bulb - A surface predator commonly found near rivers, imitating the glow of a mature celki to lure prey.
  • Secri - Red, extremely violent, microscopic apex predator parasites on Obeski, possibly fungal. They hijack bodies and change both the physiology and psychology of the infected in order to spread.
  • Guktik - A predator with bladed arms. Said to taste well when paired with ZZOUST!
  • Zuzucri - Violent surface parasites that hijack the mind and body of an obesk to use as camouflage in social settings. Their camouflage can be imperfect, as seen in the corresponding memory hole. Details like moving their host's legs to walk are lost on them, they "split" their host's face every once in a while to breathe, and corrucystic technology does not work with them. Also used as profanity by Ekivik obesk.

Prey

  • Celki - A spherical parasite which lives off of veilk, with a strong resemblance to fruit. Their seeds are said to scurry and are sought after by obesk.

Other/Unknown

  • Cave Keeper - A striped arachnid native to Obeski, seen as cute by some obesk (with said cuteness possibly being tied to strength/size).
  • Dog - Domesticated arthropod-like creatures with 8 legs and 14 eyes, an obesk parallel to dogs of the bright-world.
  • Fairy Eye - A parasite commonly found on veilktops, somewhat similar to celki. Their shells are rarely found in riverbeds and are considered a sign of imminent chaos; sometimes they are fashioned into trinkets, believed to bring good luck. Associated with the mythological Fairies that act as emissaries of Velzie.
  • Tekeki - Surface animals that mimic other animals' noises.
  • Veilk - Large animals which roam Obeski and are harvested for their bones (referred to as "Parii") as well as their skin. They harbor celki in their tendrils/stalks.
  • Yuzku - Tiny bioluminescent scavenger creatures. They are usually cultivated in parasite-ridden veilk husks to make cavelights for places such as cave-cities.
  1. Akizet uses it to denote a long period of time during the interview ("i could speak for winks on what followed")
