Akizet's personal corrucyst is a unique corrucyst that is the central focus of the plot of corru.observer. The Interloper's initial connection point was to the Authorization Layer, which was promptly disassociated and replaced with a gate that led to the Hub by Velzie.
It was found by the FBX in an obesk shipwreck about a thousand miles off the southeast coast of New Zealand.[1] The wreck is thought to have drifted a long way from its impact point[2] possibly following the Antarctic circumpolar eastward current, which may suggest it went down anywhere from the southern Indian Ocean to the south of Australia.
The cyst bears a resident Funfriend, responsible for management of both hardware and the thoughtforms within the cyst.
Purpose
The cyst's primary purpose is as a network connector for the Dull,[3] permitting access to the Obesk Collective.
Its secondary purpose is memory archival. Due to the extended lifespan that Akizet lived, the offloading of memories was necessary,[4] though it is unknown if offloading is required for the healthy functioning of the mindcore or if it is simply done out of convenience.
Additional functionalities are mentioned in dialogue,[5][6] but are yet to be demonstrated.
