Velzie is a lucid thoughtform in the Cyst. It possesses abnormal abilities in manipulating thoughtforms and thoughtspaces. Its intentions are currently unknown and consistently asks the Interloper to restore the cyst in order to receive the answers it is withholding about Akizet's past and disappearance. It has specifically expressed interest in restoring the cyst's communication capabilities.

Encounters

Authorization Layer

Velzie is first encountered in the Authorization layer. It disassociates the sentry nodes guarding access and replaces them with a gate granting Interloper access to the cyst.

City Surface and The Room High Up

When approaching the elevator to enter the Room High Up, Velzie blocks the thoughtspace from being entered. This causes the Gordon thoughtform to brokenly proclaim that the elevator isn't working and to never meet. Resources are removed and the examine for the elevator is replaced with a glitched version.

The Funny Little Room

Near the end of the interview, the Interloper has the option to continue the render. This causes the akizet thoughtform to become lucid, aware of the cyst's hunger and the Interloper's presence in the recollection. Velzie appears asks the Akizet thoughtform to "tell them about the meteorite." Velzie then proceeds to claw at the thoughtspace, destroying the memory.

After this encounter, the previously incoherent Pilot Cyst in Our Dull Vessel becomes lucid, allowing navigation to Their Waters. Asking the Pilot Cyst about why they are lucid, they say Velzie instructed them. Asking about Velzie, the Pilot Cyst responds with secrecy instructed, soon meet. Diving the vessel into the water will reveal the Depths.

The Depths

When entering the Depths for the first time, it appears as a long-scrolling page that leads to an unprocessable gate with an unusual signature that implies a spatial thoughtspace. Attempting to enter and render the thoughtspace leads to Velzie intercepting the connection, telling the Interloper that they are not prepared but promises to help them if they restore communications and the cyst to health. It asks for forgiveness and subsequently overloads the Interloper's mindspike, forcibly ejecting them from the cyst, causing minor neural damage to the Interloper and Moth's computers to begin smoking.

After this encounter, the block to the Room High Up is lifted. Additionally, the Depths page changes and contains a gate to the uncosm.

Memory Hole

Inputting the code sorry into the memory hole (obtained from either spared God or Sorry Cyst) leads to a low dimensional thoughtspace containing Velzie. It apologizes for acting rash, placing itself as an adversary to the Interloper. It explaining that its sanity was tied to the hunger of the cyst. As atonement, it prepared the memory hole, which it describes as a "hole in the uncosm" to let the Interloper view previous memories. Before the Interloper can ask any questions, Velzie asks them to continue restoring the cyst and removes itself from the thoughtspace.

Revisiting The Funny Little Room

In one of the paths in the ghost maze, the Interloper can encounter a very large, spiraling gate that resembles the Dull Contrivance. Velzie interrupts the attempt to render the thought space, appearing surprised and panicked that the Interloper is there. It begs the Interloper to stay away for both of their sakes, and overloads the mindspike, forcibly removing the Interloper's connection to the cyst. Due to Moth's safeguards put in place because of the previous overloading incident that occurred in the Depths, there is little to no harm done by this.
