BSTRD is a thoughtform found in Recollection: Collapse, in an archival vein, and in FRAME. BSTRD was created upon the injection of the framing device used to allow the player into the recollection; it was created by Moth's friend who created the Framing Device. The Call Research Initiative thoughtforms call it a sigil.
Appearance
BSTRD takes the form of a grinning yellow face, with round eyes and red accents creating a faint circular outline. Their face appears throughout their portion of EP2, but they lack a definite physical form. The most notable iteration of BSTRD's presence is the BSTRD golem, an Archival Golem strapped with Kavrukas and a rifle from the Bright Cousins. Their appearance in FRAME reflects this.
In-Game
As an EP2ADD1 character, encountering BSTRD or any enemies under their influence is optional. The player can access the archival vein immediately after defeating Movefoe once and returning to the Timestopper room.
By visiting FRAME from the lobby in Golem Maintenance using the Hunger Mask created by the Fairy, BSTRD can be convinced to create a different Evil Mode to help Geli escape the memory and return to Jokzi Ozo. This iteration can be accessed regardless of whether the player has accessed the archival vein.
