Tozik, also known as Tozikoric,[1] is a Jut Qou Obesk who worked in the Embassy in the Call Research Initiative alongside Akizet.
He previously worked in surface sentry maintenance on Obeski before transferring to Call Research.[2] He keeps a Corruskivi that was given to him as a gift by a former team member.[3]
Recollection: Discovery & Suspicion
He is first introduced in Recollection: Discovery, in which he is sitting in the Timestopper Room organizing archival cysts. During the focus, he theorizes that the Call is raw thought that is being broadcast, which spreads dread through the shared connection in the Timestopper.[4]
During Recollection: Suspicion, Akizet finds Tozik in Recreation, lost in thought and holding a taste simulacrum. He bluntly denies sending the suspicious cyst to Akizet's room.[5] When asked about what he is thinking about, he reveals that the spike observed by the Call Research team is missing from the Collective's public recording of the Call.[6]
Recollection: Collapse
Tozik is with Akizet and Gakvu during the beginning of this memory. While they are analyzing their recordings of the Call through the help of the Timestopper, a strange and painful signal interrupts their work. After discovering the Timestopper's remote capabilities and defeating the aggressive attendant golem, they take shelter in the Relocation room. After inspecting a dying Movefriend, Tozik believes it can be fixed if they are able to find sufficient materials. Through the help of Gakvu's illegal groundsmindry, they are able to navigate to Personnel and Recreation. The trio rescues Miltza in Personnel and Itzil and Karik's mindcores in Recreation.
After gathering enough materials, Tozik uses his Corruskivi to repair Movefriend. After he completes his repairs, Movefriend activates for a moment but is then seized by the groundsmind. Akizet, Tozik, and Miltza weaken the aggressive Movefriend while Gakvu removes the groundsmind's connection to it.
Once Movefriend is active again, Tozik and the team conclude that they must seize the groundsmind, and traverse to Golem Maintenance to arm themselves.
