The Timestopper is a large corrucystic device that was used by the obesk in the Embassy. It is regarded as one of the grandest cysts. It is able to connect the minds of obesk connected to it, transmitting thought so quickly that meetings that usually take hours will resolve in mere seconds. After Akizet's request, the groundsmind leased the Timestopper to the Call Research Initiative, which remained in their care until the events of the Collapse.
After the first transmission of the aggressive signal, Akizet discovers that the Timestopper is able to be connected to remotely when her, Gakvu, and Tozik were attacked by an assistant golem. The remote connection greatly hinders the transmission speed, but still proves useful as telepathic communication and a way to slow down fast-acting events, such as combat. Although the aggressive signal disabled many corrucystic devices, the Timestopper remained in tact.
At the end of the Golem Maintenance memory, Akizet and her team discover the impressor in Advanced Operations, which has the ability to clone more Timestopper connections.
