The Storm is an Obesk device which allows communication between Obesk and human devices, converting corru signals into electrical impulses and vice versa.

Akizet regards this device with remorse, calling it "[Her] single greatest error." This device is shown in the Cache, and Moth comments that it may have been involved with a "shady project" that Akizet was involved in with the FBX.

Presumably, this is the device Akizet propositioned to Gordon after their meeting in The Room High Up. He initially denies the exchange, stating that he needs to confirm that it can stay confidential. However, it is implied the deal eventually occurred; Akizet and Gordon's phone call during the Collapse reveals that FBX higher-ups went broke confidentiality and sent a probe someplace, most likely to the location of the Call. This deeply frightens and panics Akizet, as this exchange may be the reason the Collapse is happening.
