The Translation section of Minor Operations is accessed by going through the room after you encounter Cavik and Bozko.
Initial Visit
On your initial visit, you can run away from the Translation room, or go ahead and fight the Translation Core.
If you run away, you are sent back outside the room, though you can go inside again and face the Translation Core.
If you chose to fight the Translation Core, it is backed up by 2 Constructors, as well as the summoned Hostile Illegibles. After Akizet and her band defeats the Translation Core, Gakvu takes one of its memory cysts - the one that stored the Signal - and states that it can be used as a weapon; a very effective one to both parties, at that. After, you can unlock the usage of the cyst in the Augments menu, and you are free to explore the room and leave.
