The Advanced Operations sector of Golem Maintenance is accessed by going through the Lobby and going through the Grand Door after completing all the objectives.

Initial Visit

Entering Advanced Operations via the Lobby, you will be greeted with the Foundation Golem, controlled by the Aggressor. It immediately spots Akizet's party and strikes.

Engaging in the fight, the Foundation Golem is guarded by a Constructor, as well as a Husk. When the Foundation Golem attacks, Akizet calls out for Itzil in the form of the IK Golem to defend them. The Golem then alters the thoughtspace, bringing itself and the IK Golem into the Melee minigame.

Melee works by controlling the IK Golem in a punch-out style minigame, where you have to use 4 moves to knock the Foundation Golem into the Dull pillar, but you can only use 2 in one turn, these 4 moves are:

  • Strike, which strikes the tile ahead of the IK Golem, if it makes contact with the Foundation Golem, it pushes it back a tile and the IK Golem forward a tile.
  • Advance, moving the IK Golem forward a tile, and if blocked, breaks the block of the Foundation Golem, which makes its next block (if it does one in the same turn) useless.
  • Guard, self explanatory, it guards against the next attack so the IK Golem doesn't move back, will get broken by a the Foundation Golem's advance, though.
  • Wind Up, this moves the IK Golem backwards a tile, but makes its next attack 2x stronger, so instead of knocking the Foundation Golem backwards one tile in a strike, will move it backwards two tiles in a strike, same goes for advance.

Utilizing these moves, eventually the Foundation Golem will be pushed back into the Dull pillar behind it, ending the minigame for a round.

When the Foundation Golem has less than half of its health left, the Foundation Golem and the IK Golem can start to use 3 moves in one turn.

During the Foundation Golem's final stand, the arena gets extremely long, the next time the Foundation Golem gets pushed into the pillar will kill it.

After the fight ends, Karik momentarily reawakens, and starts smashing the head of the Foundation Golem, until it is sludged. Akizet then calls to everyone, saying the room is clear, and meets with Tozik and Gakvu, who are trying to get the extra Timestopper connectors from the Impressor.
