Akizet's personal corrucyst is a unique corrucyst that is the central focus of the plot of corru.observer. The player's initial connection point is the authorization layer, which is promptly deleted and replaced by the Hub.

It was found in an Obesk shipwreck about a thousand miles off the southeast coast of New Zealand[1]. The wreck is thought to have drifted a long way from its impact point[2] possibly following the Antarctic circumpolar eastward current, which may suggest it went down anywhere from the southern Indian Ocean to the south of Australia.

The cyst bears a resident Funfriend, responsible for management of both hardware and the thoughtforms within the cyst.

Purpose

The cyst's primary purpose is as a network connector for the Dull[3], permitting access to the Obesk Collective.

Its secondary purpose is memory archival. Due to the extended lifespan that Akizet lived, the offloading of memories was necessary[4], though it is unknown if offloading is required for the healthy functioning of the mindcore or if it is simply done out of convenience.

Additional functionalities are mentioned in dialogue[5][6], but are yet to be demonstrated.
